Presentation

Hey guys,
For our presentation I think I’m going to talk about how public art links in with politics, e.g. how it can be used as propaganda in different countries and how people have/are likely to respond to this. Does this link in with anyone else’s topic?
Can everyone post a comment on what they are doing for the presentation here so it’s all under one post? I’m sooo confused about where everything is on this blog!

a few of us have posted our ideas for the presentation under the post headed ‘case study’. if you copy and paste your post into a comment under that post then everything will be in the same place and hopefully less confusing. can you also write up when you’re free or not free for meeting?

Hey guys,
This is what I’m planning on looking at for the presentation. Basically, it sends artists, musicians and scientists to look at the melting ice caps and then interpret it through art which is made publically available either at the Southbank centre or at gigs- when I saw Martha Wainwright she sang a song which had been written as part of the voyage, for example.
I’m going to try and get in touch with them and see how they fund the projects, and what their message is- political or otherwise. I’d also like to link this in with someone who is doing or focusing on something similar. Maybe with Lara’s exploration into new writing that benefits the Arabic community? Let me know your thoughts.
