Essay and Case Study
November 10, 2008 nerulean
Hi guys! Ahead of today’s meeting put up an outline at my blog of what I’m planning for both my case study (poetry slams) and essay (internet fiction). If anyone wants to mosey on over to take a look and possibly add any tips – for which I would love you very much – then you can find it here!
Thanks all,
Joanna

Hey Jo, you’ve probably already thought of it but it’s definitely worth looking at Cory Doctorow’s website craphound.com. This is the guy who Adam keeps talking about in lectures, who puts his entire book on the internet as a free download. There are also some links to articles he’s written which raise interesting points about how the internet has changed the world of literature, and art in general. For example, how previous forms of media have restricted literature and art to certain forms – average lengths of books, word allowance for news articles etc, whereas now it can exist outside those boundries, and even be interacted with by its readers, e.g. blogging and forums. I’ll be bringing this up in the presentation but thought it would be worth a look for your essay research. Helena.x
